What do I use this thing for?
May. 2nd, 2009 02:34 pmSince posting my initial celebratory "hell yeah I have a Dreamwidth account" entry, I haven't posted here at all. To be fair to myself, I've had a lot of schoolwork to get through and not many ideas about what to write here as opposed to on LiveJournal or my WordPress blog. In fact I haven't really had many ideas as to what to write at those places, either.
There are a few possibilities for things I could write about here. For instance, one of my LiveJournal's current purposes is to serve as a place where I write privately about my days, like a diary. I could start using this journal for that purpose, but that would involve reposting a LOT of entries (and I don't want to import my WHOLE LiveJournal because there are lots of entries I'd rather leave behind). Also, it still doesn't give me an idea of what I should post PUBLICLY (or at least access-listly) about.
I could talk about politics or philosophy here. I already do this to a certain extent in my WordPress blog, though, and I'm not sure how I'd differentiate between "thoughts to post on WP" and "thoughts to post on DW". Alternatively I could crosspost between WP and here, but I don't really like duplicating content like that.
I could also try posting fiction here, but I haven't actually written much in the way of fiction for a long time, NaNoWriMo aside. Ultimately I probably wouldn't post any, because I wouldn't have written any to post.
So, there are my thoughts. And I still don't know the answer! I guess I'll see what I feel like doing later on.
